Chine-Collé

Chine-collé is a specialized printmaking method that lets artists attach a very thin sheet of paper (often colored or patterned) onto a thicker backing sheet at the exact moment the print is made.
The result is that the decorative paper and the printed image become one bonded layer rather than separate pieces glued later.
